T
he National Lyme Disease Memorial Park
Project is dedicated to all who have experienced the ramifications of Lyme and other tickborne associated diseases.

This Project encompasses both a virtual and a physical place. It will serve everyone who has been touched by these devastating illnesses -the patients who struggle to recover their health and their lives, the family and friends who love them, the advocates, activists and researchers fighting to make necessary changes and the physicians who are providing us help with steadfast and extraordinary courage.

The Memorial website was created for and will be maintained as a virtual educational hub for those who have personally dealt with or who now question the seriousness of chronic Lyme and tickborne associated fatalities. In particular, it will list names and some condensed obituaries of those who have passed away, so that we may not forget them or the high toll of these diseases.

The future physical Memorial Park will be a place of peace and healing where those who have died from these diseases can be remembered in beauty, and those recovering from Lyme and its effects can be refreshed and renewed. Both the Memorial website and the Memorial Park will remain a work in progress that will grow over time.

Our hope is that by sharing accurate information on this subject, we will be able to help others understand that Lyme disease is a severe National and International growing threat and therefore dispel the prevalent myth of Lyme and associated co-infections being  "Difficult to catch, and easy to cure" -a myth that has caused the deaths of far too many.

Our most heartfelt sympathies and sincere gratitude go first to the families of those who have succumbed to Lyme and tickborne disease associated fatalities.

We embrace your courage and mourn your losses. We appreciate your willingness to share your most personal memories for the benefit of others. We realize that each name represents a precious part of you that was taken away too soon, and we thank you for supporting us in the never ending endeavor of education.

"I too tend to plant trees in honor of those that pass away!
Something symbolic to me about trees I guess, whether it be the trees branches reaching toward heaven, or just the growth year after year -signifying strength throughout all kinds of weather!"

- Billy Boesché  (1965-2006)
