Anne
Brown was born in Montgomery County. She was a graduate of Escambia County
High School in Atmore, and attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery. She
worked for Earthquake Consortium in Memphis and was a member of First United
Methodist Church and was a Certified United Methodist Lay Speaker. Ann
suffered from Lyme Disease Complications, diabetes, high blood pressure and
arthritis. After Hurricane Katrina, she was busily making bread everyday for
the refuges who were staying in her town. As a strong advocate of education,
a scholarship fund was established in her name at Guin Methodist Church to
help needy kids attend college.
Brown died June 3, 2007, of complications stemming from Lyme
disease.

school or classes. There is a void in my life because her light no longer
