The National Lyme Disease Memorial Park is envisioned as a place where those who have succumbed to associated tickborne fatalities will be memorialized in a beautiful, unique and meaningful manner.

The Memorial Park will also offer ongoing events for those who wish to learn more about Chronic Lyme disease and other associated Vector and Tickborne diseases. This element will include facilities capable of accommodating large gatherings for lectures, meetings and conferences. It will also include facilities for individual research, education and support.

The entire Memorial Park will be accessible in both location and user ability on all levels. The special needs of those with tickborne diseases will be addressed in every aspect of the design.

It will be a melding of beauty and functionality at its highest level, allowing those who wish to come together, a place to not only grieve for the loss of our family members and friends, but to share wisdom, gain a sense of hope and participate in the experience of pro-active involvement toward a future of great change.

"Trees are the best monuments that a man can erect to his own memory. They speak his praises without flattery, and they are blessings to children yet unborn."
